Southleigh in Quedgeley, Gloucester, offers Supported Living for up to 5 adults aged 18 to 65. The house is situated within walking distance to shops and the local amenities of Quedgeley. It also happens to be just a stone’s throw away from our very first home, The Retreat! With easy and accessible transport links into Gloucester city, this is certainly a great area to live in for our clients.
Southleigh specialises in providing Supported Living for individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses to enable them to live their life as independently as possible. Some of the individuals we support may have communication difficulties and may also present complex conditions or have behaviours that challenge. We also support individuals with physical disabilities. Where possible, our support workers are dedicated to helping our clients fulfil their goals and ambitions, by encouraging them to reach outside of their comfort zones, in order to pursue an independent lifestyle.
We provide support to individuals by working in partnership with themselves and their families to create personalised care plans to suit the individual. We actively encourage and promote total involvement within the local community and offer activities depending on the service user’s wishes.
Southleigh is a comfortable, chalet style, spacious and modern home with five double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and one with an en-suite wet room. There is also an additional communal wet room on the ground floor for the use of all our service users. There are spacious communal lounge areas with separate dining facilities that offer a peaceful and relaxing environment. There is also a large garden and terrace with seating areas, for those warm sunny days. We feel that Southleigh provides a varied, comfortable and supportive environment for all that live here.
A combination of Southleigh’s cosy communal areas, our friendly, approachable support staff and our high-quality facilities, work together to create a standard of care for people that is dignified, empowering and person-centred.
